The Progress of Scripture: History as God Wrote It

Warning: This class may raise more questions that in answers.  Why does God take up so much valuable "scriptural space" to talk about laws and customs that are really not relevant anymore?  Why do I need to even read about these now?  In fact, what purpose does the Old Testament have to a modern day Christian?  Why does God focus on the birth of a small nation rather than a great complex nation like Egypt?

Whether these questions get answered or not, you will find yourself engrossed in the progress of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, as we look together at the historical progress of our world from God's perspective.

This review will provide us an in-depth look at the character, vision and purposes of God.  What interests Him and why did He want this story written down for us to remember?  The threads of history will never be the same as you view the world from His historical point of view.
